Our HDR camera mode enables you to take brilliant photos with a greater dynamic range, which translates into capturing more details in highlights and shadows.
With our high dynamic range (HDR) technology, up to five photos are captured at different exposure levels and automatically combined into one superior photo. As a result, the final photo has better contrast and captures more of those details we perceive with our eyes like brighter whites and darker blacks. With a built-in technology called tone mapping, HDR captures can be display on standard, non-HDR screens.
To take great HDR photos, you only need to tap the shutter button. The intelligent two-step scene analysis finds the best exposure settings so you can focus on your subject and the composition. The sophisticated image processing technology allows you to take HDR photos without a tripod and capture scenes with objects in motion.
Full automatic or Manual Exposure Bracketing: Advanced users may also set manual exposure levels for the HDR capture process.
Extra feature for LowLight Plus users: If you own both vividHDR and LowLight Plus, you get an extra Bracketing Mode on top - Low Light HDR. This mode is for long exposure HDR capturing in low light conditions. It's especially suitable for night photography in cities and generally for night scenes with many light sources (high contrast range).
After the exposure bracket has been captured, you can pick from five different HDR styles: Natural, Vivid, Dramatic, Faded, and Black & White.
